I am driven by a sense of progress, that humankind is on a road that moves us all forward. And I am passionate about any technology that is a vehicle for progress, that brings well-being and strengthens human connections.
My road to EVBox wasn’t exactly linear. I moved to Lisbon, from Águeda where I was born, to start an Aerospace Engineering degree at the Technical University of Lisbon. But I fell in love with economics and marketing, so I moved to Management at the Lisbon School of Economics and Management.
I led AIESEC at global level as their President with record-breaking performance during such period, moved to India and raised funds for more than 100 children to have better life and educational conditions, got named the World's Most Connected Person on Facebook by Western Union, led a few startups to from early-stage funding to exit and eventually was one of the first hires at EVBox, and the first non-Dutch worker there.
At the time we were about 15 people. Now we’re over 750 and we are going public with an IPO this year and I’m leading the way as EVBox’s Chief Growth Officer. I feel part of a movement to accelerate the transition to sustainable mobility and a zero-emission world and believe that throughout EVBox’s entrepreneurial journey, I grew as much as the company did.
My journey is still at the start. I’ve recently launched a personal initiative to spread wisdom on modern leadership and teams, and will continue acting as an agent of positive change, and perhaps one day, also fulfil a childhood dream of traveling to space.
